Who doesn’t know the UK universities education fair in Nicosia?
Since 1987 the British Council in Cyprus has been running the annual UK education fair bringing together UK Educational Institutions and Cypriot students planning to study in the #UK. Within these 35 years, we brought to #Cyprus a total of 2,427 UK Education exhibitors, having at least 45 UK universities at each fair and had a total of 182,628 visitors.
Given the current Covid-19 pandemic situation, our 2020 education fair was delivered virtually. More than 60 UK universities participated to online British Council’s first Europe-wide UK education fair. Cyprus was part of this innovative event where thousands of European students joined the platform given the opportunity to get clear, reliable information and one-to-one contact with universities. The platform was free for students to join and the programme run from 19 October to13 November, a full month of interactive activities including, recorded online talks, webinars, meetings with UK universities and British Council education staff of their counties. The event was supported by UNITE student accommodation, who were able to provide information on accommodation options available to students going to the UK.
We aim to continue supporting all students interested in studying to the UK by working with UK universities, schools and colleges and by developing new services and identifying innovative ways of bringing them together responding to the challenges of the constantly changing environment.
