Five Films For Freedom is an online celebration of global LGBTQIA+ (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, intersex, asexual ) stories, in partnership with BFI Flare: London LGBTQIA+ Film Festival.
Back for its ninth year in March 2023, the programme will showcase five LGBTQIA+ themed short films from around the globe making them available for the world to watch online for free, as we do every year over a 12-day period.
Through our global network in more than 100 countries, we encourage people to watch the films in solidarity with LGBTQIA+ communities, particularly in places where freedom and equal rights are limited in recognition of the fact that Love is a Human Right.
Running since 2015, the programme has been seen by 20 million people. The films have been watched in over 200 countries and principalities, including many parts of the world where homosexuality is criminalised, and in some cases, punishable by the death penalty.
You can watch the films our YouTube channel from 15 March and find out more about the 2023 campaign by clicking here.
